Google Nexus 9 is much better than Galaxy Tab 8.9, with a overall score of 74.5 against 58.1. The Google Nexus 9 design is newer, a bit thinner and a little lighter than the Galaxy Tab 8.9. Both of these tablets use Android OS, but the Google Nexus 9 has a newer 5.0 version and Galaxy Tab 8.9 has Android 3.0, so it provides you a couple additional features.
Google Nexus 9 has a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have a display with the same size, the Google Nexus 9 also has a lot higher 2048 x 1536 resolution and way more pixels per inch of display. The Google Nexus 9 counts with a much faster processor than Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have a Dual-Core CPU, the Google Nexus 9 also has a 64 bits CPU.
Galaxy Tab 8.9 counts with a much bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Google Nexus 9, because it has 64 GB internal memory. Google Nexus 9 counts with a little longer battery life than Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has 6700mAh of battery capacity. Google Nexus 9 takes much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, because it has a way more MP back facing camera and a lot better 1920x1080 video quality.
