The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is slightly better than the Google Nexus 9, with a general score of 75.2 against 74.5. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has older 4.4.2 version and Google Nexus 9 has Android 5.0. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 construction is noticeably lighter and just a little bit thinner than Google Nexus 9, despite of the fact that it was released only 9 months before.
The Google Nexus 9 features a bit better performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics co-processor and a lower number of cores, and they both have the same RAM amount, the Google Nexus 9 also counts with a 64-bits CPU. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 counts with a little more vivid screen than Google Nexus 9, because although it has a little smaller screen, it also counts with a bit higher 2560 x 1600 resolution and a little greater display density.
The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has a very superior storage capacity to store more apps and games than Google Nexus 9, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 64 GB. Google Nexus 9 counts with a way better battery life than Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because it has a 40% greater battery capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features just a bit better camera than Google Nexus 9. Both of them have the same video frame rates, the same video definition and a back camera with an 8 megapixels resolution.
Although Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a better device, it costs more than the Google Nexus 9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Google Nexus 9. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Google Nexus 9, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
