Google Pixel Slate is better than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, with a score of 79.3 against 67.9. The Google Pixel Slate has Chrome OS OS, while Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 works with Android 4.4 OS. Even though Google Pixel Slate is a lot heavier than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, it's just a bit thinner and newer.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a brighter screen than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a lot smaller display and a quite lower resolution of 1600 x 2560px, it also counts with a just a little better pixels number per display inch.
