The Google Pixel Slate has a global score of 79.3, which is much better than Google Nexus 7 (2013)'s general score of 70.8. Google Pixel Slate is a notably newer and somewhat thinner tablet device than the Google Nexus 7 (2013), although it is incredibly heavier. The Google Pixel Slate works with Chrome OS operating system, while Google Nexus 7 (2013) has Android 5.0 operating system.

The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has just a bit better hardware performance than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with a larger number of 1500 MHz cores and a graphics co-processor. The Google Nexus 7 (2013) has a little more vivid display than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a way worse resolution of 1200 x 1920px, way less brightness and a way smaller display, it also counts with a little more pixels per screen inch.

Google Pixel Slate has a much better memory for apps and games than Google Nexus 7 (2013), because it has 256 GB internal memory. The Google Nexus 7 (2013) features a much longer battery duration than Google Pixel Slate. The Google Pixel Slate shoots much better photographs and videos than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and although they both have the same (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Google Pixel Slate also has a much more megapixels camera in the back and a lot bigger camera aperture to take better low light photos.

Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it costs a lot more than Google Nexus 7 (2013), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Nexus 7 (2013). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Google Pixel Slate, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Google Nexus 7 (2013), letting go some features and specs.
