Google Pixel Slate has a score of 79.3, which is better than Microsoft Surface 3's 66.3 global score. Google Pixel Slate is a way newer and somewhat thinner tablet than Microsoft Surface 3, although it's also heavier. The Google Pixel Slate has a much better display than Microsoft Surface 3, because it has a much better resolution of 3000 x 2000px, a better pixels density and a bit bigger screen.
The Google Pixel Slate has much more storage for games and applications than Microsoft Surface 3, because it has 128 GB more internal storage. The Microsoft Surface 3 features just a little better hardware performance than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, it also counts with a larger number of cores.
The Google Pixel Slate shoots way better videos and photos than Microsoft Surface 3. They have the same video frame rate, the same 1920x1080 video quality and a same resolution camera. The Microsoft Surface 3 and Google Pixel Slate both count with very similar battery durations.
Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Microsoft Surface 3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Microsoft Surface 3. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Microsoft Surface 3, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
