Google Pixel Slate has an overall score of 79.3, which is way better than the Microsoft Surface Pro's 63.2 global score. Google Pixel Slate is a way newer tablet, and it's also somewhat lighter and noticeably thinner than the Microsoft Surface Pro. The Google Pixel Slate works with Chrome OS OS, and Microsoft Surface Pro counts with Windows 8 Pro OS.

Microsoft Surface Pro has a bit better hardware performance than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has less RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Microsoft Surface Pro also counts with a graphics processing unit. Google Pixel Slate has a little more vivid display than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a bigger display, more pixels per screen inch and a much higher resolution of 3000 x 2000px.

Google Pixel Slate counts with a much bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory. Google Pixel Slate takes greater videos and photos than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a back-facing camera with way more megapixels and a much higher 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.

The Microsoft Surface Pro and Google Pixel Slate both feature very similar batteries.

The Google Pixel Slate is a lot more expensive than Microsoft Surface Pro, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
