The Google Pixel Slate has a score of 79.3, which is way better than the Galaxy Tab A 8.0's 62.8 global score. Even though Google Pixel Slate is much heavier than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, it's a little bit thinner and also way newer. The Google Pixel Slate comes with Chrome OS OS, and Galaxy Tab A 8.0 works with Android 7.1 Nougat OS.
Google Pixel Slate features a little faster processor than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has an inferior number of cores , it also counts with a greater amount of RAM. The Google Pixel Slate has a way better display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a much higher 3000 x 2000 pixels resolution, a much better pixel density and a lot larger display.
Google Pixel Slate counts with a very superior camera than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has a way better 1920x1080 video definition and a way better resolution back-facing camera. Google Pixel Slate counts with a superior memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 240 GB more internal memory capacity.

Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Google Pixel Slate, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, letting go a couple features and specifications.
