Comparison review
The Google Pixel Slate has an overall score of 79.3, which is much better than Xperia Z2 Tablet's overall score of 69.8. The Google Pixel Slate is a way newer device than the Xperia Z2 Tablet, but it is thicker and incredibly heavier. Google Pixel Slate works with Chrome OS operating system, while Xperia Z2 Tablet works with Android 4.4.4 operating system.
Xperia Z2 Tablet features a bit sharper screen than Google Pixel Slate, although it has a way worse resolution of 1200 x 1920px, a little smaller screen and a just a bit worse display density. The Xperia Z2 Tablet counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Google Pixel Slate, because although it has 13 GB less RAM, it also counts with a larger number of faster cores and an additional graphics co-processor.
The Google Pixel Slate has a very superior camera than Xperia Z2 Tablet, although it has a back-facing camera with a lower 8 mega-pixels resolution and a worse 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution. The Google Pixel Slate has a much greater storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xperia Z2 Tablet, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity.
The Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet counts with a very superior battery duration than Google Pixel Slate.
Although Google Pixel Slate is a better device, it is way more expensive than Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Google Pixel Slate, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, resigning a couple features and specifications.
