The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a general score of 67, which is way better than HP 8's global score of 47.5. The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active construction is somewhat thicker and heavier than the HP 8. Both of these devices include Android OS (Operating System), but Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has newer 4.4 version and HP 8 has Android 4.2.2, giving you a lot of extra features and a performance increase.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a bit superior processor than HP 8, and although they both have 4 processing cores, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has a greater amount of RAM and an additional GPU. The Galaxy Tab Active features a little sharper display than HP 8, because it has a quite greater pixels count in each display inch, a quite bigger screen and a quite better 1280 x 800 resolution.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with a bit more storage capacity for games and applications than HP 8, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active also has an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 64 GB.
