The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a bit better than HP ProPad 600, having a global score of 62.7 against 58.2. Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 counts with Android 4.0 operating system, and HP ProPad 600 comes with Windows 8.1 operating system. The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 construction is just a bit thinner and somewhat lighter than HP ProPad 600, despite of the fact that it was released about a year before.
The HP ProPad 600 has a more vivid display than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and although they both have a same size display, the HP ProPad 600 also has a much greater number of pixels per inch in the display and a lot higher 1200 x 1920px resolution. The HP ProPad 600 counts with a lot bigger storage capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
The HP ProPad 600 features better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, because it has a 20 percent larger battery size.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the HP ProPad 600, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as HP ProPad 600. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the HP ProPad 600, letting go a couple features and specifications.
