Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a global score of 62.8, which is a lot better than the HP Slate 7 Extreme's 44.1 global score. Galaxy Tab A 8.0's design is a lot thinner and a bit lighter than HP Slate 7 Extreme. Both of these devices come with Android OS, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has the newer 7.1 Nougat version while HP Slate 7 Extreme has Android 4.2.2, so it gives a lot of extra features.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 features a really superior processing power than HP Slate 7 Extreme, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a greater amount of RAM. HP Slate 7 Extreme features a little bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a bit higher resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a greater pixel density.
The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 shoots clearer videos and photos than HP Slate 7 Extreme. Both have a same resolution camera in the back. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 features a bigger storage for apps and games than HP Slate 7 Extreme, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has a slot for external memory cards that supports a maximum of 128 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is a bit more expensive than HP Slate 7 Extreme, but it's still a great choice, because you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
