Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has an overall score of 60.1, which is way better than the HP Slate 8 Pro's general score of 50. Both devices in this comparison use Android OS (operating system), but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has 5.0 version while HP Slate 8 Pro has Android 4.2, so it gives you lots of additional features. Galaxy Tab A 8.0's design is extremely thinner and extremely lighter than HP Slate 8 Pro.
HP Slate 8 Pro counts with a slightly better looking display than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a same size display, the HP Slate 8 Pro also has a lot more pixels per inch in the display and a lot higher resolution of 1200 x 1600px. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a bigger storage to store more games and applications than HP Slate 8 Pro, and although they both have exactly the same 16 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 128 GB.
