The Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a little bit better than HTC EVO View 4G, having a 58.1 score against 56.4. Both of these tablets come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab 8.9 has an older 3.0 version while HTC EVO View 4G has Android 3.2. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 design is noticeably thinner but just a little bit heavier than the HTC EVO View 4G, and both of them were released with only 0 months difference.
The HTC EVO View 4G has a little better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, although it has a lower number of cores (but faster). The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has a little sharper display than HTC EVO View 4G, and although they both have a better number of pixels per display inch, the Galaxy Tab 8.9 also has a bigger display and a higher 800 x 1280 resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 has just a bit bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than HTC EVO View 4G, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. Galaxy Tab 8.9 features a much longer battery duration than HTC EVO View 4G, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
The HTC EVO View 4G counts with a slightly better camera than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9, and although they both have the same 1280x720 video resolution and the same video frame rates, the HTC EVO View 4G also has a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back.
Although Galaxy Tab 8.9 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than HTC EVO View 4G, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as HTC EVO View 4G. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab 8.9, else you can save a couple dollars and get the HTC EVO View 4G, letting go a couple features and specs.
