Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is much better than HTC Flyer Wi-Fi, with a general score of 67.9 against 56.6. Both devices we are comparing come with Android OS (operating system), but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a newer 4.4 version while HTC Flyer Wi-Fi has Android 3.2. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 construction is newer, a lot thinner and lighter than HTC Flyer Wi-Fi.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a way better looking screen than HTC Flyer Wi-Fi, because it has much more pixels per inch in the screen, a larger display and a lot higher resolution of 1600 x 2560. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much better memory capacity to install games and applications than HTC Flyer Wi-Fi, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.

The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is way more expensive than HTC Flyer Wi-Fi, but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a lot more features for that extra money.
