HTC Flyer Wi-Fi Review

Score: 56.6 / 100

HTC Flyer Wi-Fi is a good device released back in the year 2011, packed with a fast processor clocking at 1.5 gigahertz, a quite big 7" multi-touch display, a 5 megapixels back-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. We will get a better understanding of this portable tablet's pros when we get into deeper details.

This tablet is a compact tablet, taking into account that it features a 7" display and it is only 7.7" long and 4.8 inches wide. This tablet is a little bit thick for today's standards, with a thickness of 0.52 inches. It appears that HTC didn't care about the weight at all, leaving it live with a weight of 14.8 oz.

The HTC Flyer Wi-Fi includes a good 7-inches display with a 600 x 1024 resolution, which makes everything look quite good.

The HTC Flyer Wi-Fi comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 MSM8255 chip, holding a good performance processor clocking at 1.5 GHz and 1 GB RAM memory. Helping with graphic calculations, this tablet also has a 245 MHz Adreno 205 graphics processing unit. A nice advantage of this tablet is its 16 GB quite large internal storage and an external memory slot, which allows you to install hundreds of applications and games without running out of space.

The HTC Flyer Wi-Fi has two cameras, a 5 mega-pixels back camera and a 1.3 MP front side camera. It can also shoot videos in 1280x720 (HD) at 30 fps. This tablet also counts with auto-focus.

This tablet has wi-fi connection (but it can't provide it to other devices around, acting as a modem). This device doesn't use a sim card, because it doesn't work with GSM networks.

This tablet also features a couple nice characteristics as Bluetooth (provides communication with other tablet devices and accessories) and GPS, and a few sensors likeLight Sensor, Accelerometer and Compass.

This tablet uses a 4000 mAh big Li-Ion non-removable battery that can keep this tablet running for several hours and even reach the end of the day without charging it at all. An issue to take into account is that the HTC Flyer Wi-Fi's battery is not replaceable so you can't change it when it starts to last shorter, even though having 4000 mAh you will probably buy a new tablet before that becomes a real problem.

The HTC Flyer Wi-Fi is being sold for around $ 265, which is not a good offer for this type of device. No matter if you want it to play lots of games, want a tablet to mainly use social networks and internet browsing or need it for work, you will definitely be very happy with this tablet.
