The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is better than the HTC Flyer, getting a general score of 67.9 against 58.7. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 construction is newer, lighter and noticeably thinner than HTC Flyer. These devices come with Android OS, but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a newer 4.4 version while HTC Flyer has Android 3.2 version.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a lot better display than HTC Flyer, because it has a much better resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels, a much higher screen pixels density and a larger display. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a better performing processor than HTC Flyer, because although it has doesn't have an additional graphics processor, it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and 3 more processing cores.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features slightly more memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than HTC Flyer, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage.
