HTC Flyer has a score of 58.7, which is just a bit better than the Sony Tablet S's 57.5 score. Even though the HTC Flyer and the Sony Tablet S were only released 2 months apart, the HTC Flyer construction is a lot lighter but also thicker than the Sony Tablet S. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android OS (operating system), but HTC Flyer has an older 3.2 version while Sony Tablet S has Android 4.0.
HTC Flyer features a bit sharper screen than Sony Tablet S, because although it has a really smaller screen and a much lower 600 x 1024 resolution, it also counts with a quite higher quantity of pixels per display inch. The Sony Tablet S and HTC Flyer count with incredibly similar memory for applications and games, both of them have exactly the same 32 GB internal memory and an external memory slot that holds up to 32 GB.
The HTC Flyer has a little better hardware performance than Sony Tablet S, because although it has 1 lesser cores (but faster), and they both have the same RAM memory amount, the HTC Flyer also counts with an extra graphics co-processor. The HTC Flyer takes clearer photos and videos than Sony Tablet S. Both have the same video frame rates, the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality and the same resolution back facing camera.
The Sony Tablet S counts with improved battery life than HTC Flyer, because it has a 25 percent more battery capacity.
Despite of being the best tablet between the ones we are comparing here, the HTC Flyer is also by far the cheapest.
