Comparison review
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a global score of 67.9, which is a little bit better than the HTC Jetstream's 63.6 global score. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a way newer device, and it is also much thinner and lighter than HTC Jetstream. These tablets come with Android operating system, but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a more recent 4.4 version while HTC Jetstream has Android 3.1 version.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much better display than HTC Jetstream, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 and a lot better pixels number per inch of display. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a slightly better storage capacity for games and applications than HTC Jetstream, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a bit better performance than HTC Jetstream, because although it has doesn't have an extra GPU, it also counts with more cpu cores and a larger amount of RAM. The HTC Jetstream has a much better battery duration than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. HTC Jetstream takes a little bit better videos and photos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Both have the same video frame rate, a same resolution camera in the back and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it is way more expensive than HTC Jetstream, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as HTC Jetstream. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the HTC Jetstream, letting go some features and specifications.
