The Google Nexus 7 has a global score of 59.3, which is a bit better than the Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite's 54.5 overall score. Google Nexus 7's design is a bit thinner and a bit lighter than Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite, even though both of them were released only 1 months apart. Both tablets in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Google Nexus 7 has a more recent 5.1 version and Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite has Android 4.0.3, giving a couple nice extra features and enhanced performance.
The Google Nexus 7 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM, the Google Nexus 7 also has an extra graphics processing unit and a greater number of cores. The Google Nexus 7 features a better looking display than Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite, and although they both have a same size screen, the Google Nexus 7 also has a higher screen pixels density and a better 800 x 1280 resolution.
The Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite shoots much better photographs and videos than Google Nexus 7. Google Nexus 7 has a way bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 32 GB internal memory capacity.
Google Nexus 7 counts with a little longer battery life than Huawei MediaPad 7 Lite, because it has 4325mAh of battery capacity against 4100mAh.
