Huawei MediaPad M1 has a general score of 61.5, which is slightly better than the Google Nexus 7's 59.3 global score. Huawei MediaPad M1's body is newer, just a bit lighter and incredibly thinner than Google Nexus 7. Both tablets in this review include Android operating system, but the Huawei MediaPad M1 has older 4.2.2 version and Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1.
The Google Nexus 7 has a bit better hardware performance than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have 1 GB of RAM and a Quad-Core processing unit, the Google Nexus 7 also has a GPU. The Google Nexus 7 features a little sharper screen than Huawei MediaPad M1, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Google Nexus 7 also counts with a little bit greater display density.
The Huawei MediaPad M1 counts with a much better camera than Google Nexus 7. Google Nexus 7 features a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with more internal memory.
Huawei MediaPad M1 has a bit better battery duration than Google Nexus 7, because it has a 4800mAh battery size.
Although Huawei MediaPad M1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Google Nexus 7, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Google Nexus 7. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Huawei MediaPad M1, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Google Nexus 7, resigning some features and specifications.
