Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has a global score of 73.3, which is much better than the Huawei MediaPad M1's score of 61.5. These devices use Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has newer 8.0 Oreo version while Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2, so it provides you a couple additional features. Although the Huawei MediaPad M5 lite is much heavier than Huawei MediaPad M1, it's just a little bit thinner and incredibly newer.
The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has a quite superior processing power than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has more RAM and a higher number of cores (and they are faster). The Huawei MediaPad M1 features a little more vivid screen than Huawei MediaPad M5 lite, although it has a just a bit worse screen pixel density, a much smaller display and a way worse 1280 x 800 resolution.
Huawei MediaPad M5 lite counts with much more storage for games and applications than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 256 GB. The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite counts with a very superior camera than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Huawei MediaPad M5 lite also has a back-facing camera with a much better resolution.
