The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is better than Huawei MediaPad M1, getting a overall score of 69.2 against 61.5. Both tablets we are comparing come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 has newer 4.4.2 version while Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2 version. Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0's design has the same thickness than the Huawei MediaPad M1, but it is a bit heavier.

Huawei MediaPad M1 has a slightly better looking display than Galaxy Note 8.0. Both of them have a display of the same size, exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and the same display pixels density. The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a way bigger memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has 16 GB internal storage and an external memory slot that holds up to 64 GB.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 has a bit better CPU than Huawei MediaPad M1, and although they both have a Quad-Core processing unit, the Galaxy Note 8.0 also has an extra GPU and more RAM. The Huawei MediaPad M1 features just a little better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0, because it has a 4800mAh battery size.

The Galaxy Note 8.0 shoots much better pictures and videos than Huawei MediaPad M1. Both have the same resolution camera in the back, the same video frame rates and the same 1280x720 video definition.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 is a lot more expensive than the Huawei MediaPad M1, but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
