Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is much better than the Huawei MediaPad M1, having a 68.3 score against 61.5. Although Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is extremely newer than Huawei MediaPad M1, it is just a little bit heavier and somewhat thicker. These tablets have Android OS (Operating System), but Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has the newer 8.1 Oreo version and Huawei MediaPad M1 has Android 4.2.2 version, so it offers some extra features and optimized performance.

Huawei MediaPad M1 has a bit better processing power than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have a Quad-Core processor. The Huawei MediaPad M1 has a sharper screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018). Both have the same amount of pixels in each display inch, a display of the same size and an equal resolution of 1280 x 800px.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a lot bigger memory to store more apps and games than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has more internal storage capacity and a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 400 GB. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) features a way better camera than Huawei MediaPad M1. Both of them have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution, the same video frame rates and a same resolution back-facing camera.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) features a bit better battery performance than Huawei MediaPad M1, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity against 4800mAh.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is way more expensive than Huawei MediaPad M1, but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
