Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has a score of 75.5, which is a lot better than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7's 60.8 general score. Both devices in this review include Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has a newer 8.0 Oreo version while Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has Android 4.2.2 version, so it offers a couple nice extra features. Even though the Huawei MediaPad M5 8 is a little heavier than the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, it's somewhat thinner and also much newer.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 features a processor that's just as good as the CPU in Huawei MediaPad M5 8, because although the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 has a lower number of slower cores and a lower amount of RAM memory, it also counts with a GPU. The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7 counts with a more vivid screen than Huawei MediaPad M5 8, although it has a bit smaller screen, a just a bit lower pixels density and a way lower resolution of 1200 x 1920px.
Huawei MediaPad M5 8 features a way better camera than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7. The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 features a much better memory for games and applications than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, because it has 128 GB internal storage and an external SD slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. Huawei MediaPad M5 8 features a much better battery lifetime than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7.
