Comparison review
The Apple iPad mini 3 has a general score of 77.5, which is a bit better than Huawei MediaPad M5 8's 75.5 overall score. The Apple iPad mini 3 has iOS 8.x OS, and Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has Android 8.0 Oreo OS. Despite being the best tablet we are comparing, we must highlight that it's also a notably older, a bit thicker and just a bit heavier tablet.
The Huawei MediaPad M5 8 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Apple iPad mini 3, because although it has a 32-bits CPU instead of 64-bits and doesn't have a graphics processing unit, it also counts with more processing cores and a greater amount of RAM. The Apple iPad mini 3 has a slightly better looking screen than Huawei MediaPad M5 8, although it has a just a bit less pixels per screen inch, a bit smaller display and a little lower 1536 x 2048 resolution.
Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has a much better memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Apple iPad mini 3, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Huawei MediaPad M5 8 also has an external SD slot that holds up to 256 GB. IPad mini 3 features superior battery lifetime than Huawei MediaPad M5 8, because it has a 6350mAh battery capacity.
The Apple iPad mini 3's camera is very similar to Huawei MediaPad M5 8's camera, although the Apple iPad mini 3 has a back-facing camera with a lot worse resolution and a tinier camera aperture which is not nice for taking photos and videos in low light environments.
