The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite is just a bit better than the Microsoft Surface Pro 3, having a general score of 73.3 against 72.2. Huawei MediaPad M5 lite comes with Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, while Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has Windows 8.1 Pro operating system. Huawei MediaPad M5 lite is a much newer tablet, and it's also much lighter and somewhat thinner than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has a more powerful processing unit than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, because although it has 4 GB lesser RAM, it also counts with 6 more cores. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a bit sharper display than Huawei MediaPad M5 lite, because although it has a quite lower pixels density, it also counts with a little bit higher 1440 x 2160 pixels resolution and a bigger screen.
The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has a much better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro 3, and although they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Huawei MediaPad M5 lite also has a back-facing camera with a lot better 8 mega-pixels resolution.
