Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has an overall score of 77.4, which is a bit better than the Huawei MediaPad M5 lite's global score of 73.3. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has the previous 4.4.2 version while Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has Android 8.0 Oreo version. Despite being the best tablet device we are comparing, the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) construction is notably older, just a little bit thicker and heavier than the Huawei MediaPad M5 lite.

Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a way better screen than Huawei MediaPad M5 lite, and although they both have a screen of the same size, the Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) also has more pixels per inch of display and a higher resolution of 1600 x 2560px. Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has a bit better CPU than Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), because although it has doesn't have an additional GPU, it also counts with a larger number of cores and a larger amount of RAM memory.

Huawei MediaPad M5 lite features a superior camera than GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition). Both have the same resolution camera in the back, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality and the same video frame rates. The Huawei MediaPad M5 lite has a greater storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), and although they both have the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Huawei MediaPad M5 lite also has an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB.

The GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) has a bit longer battery performance than Huawei MediaPad M5 lite, because it has an 8220mAh battery capacity against 7500mAh.

Although GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Huawei MediaPad M5 lite, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei MediaPad M5 lite. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Huawei MediaPad M5 lite, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
