Huawei MediaPad M5 8 is just a bit better than the Huawei MediaPad X2, having a 75.5 score against 72.7. Huawei MediaPad M5 8's design is extremely newer, but just a little bit thicker and way heavier than the Huawei MediaPad X2. Both devices in this review come with Android operating system, but the Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has the newer 8.0 Oreo version and Huawei MediaPad X2 has Android 5.0, so it offers some additional features.
The Huawei MediaPad X2 features just a bit better processing power than Huawei MediaPad M5 8, because although it has less RAM memory, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei MediaPad X2 also counts with a 64-bit processing unit. Huawei MediaPad X2 counts with a brighter screen than Huawei MediaPad M5 8, although it has a way worse 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution, a bit inferior amount of pixels per inch of display and a little smaller screen.
Huawei MediaPad M5 8 counts with a much better storage for games and applications than Huawei MediaPad X2, because it has a slot for external memory cards that admits a maximum of 256 GB and more internal storage capacity. Huawei MediaPad M5 8 counts with a much better camera than Huawei MediaPad X2. Both of them have a back camera with a 13 mega-pixels.
Huawei MediaPad M5 8 has a little longer battery lifetime than Huawei MediaPad X2, because it has a 2 percent more battery capacity.
