Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has an overall score of 68.5, which is much better than the Huawei MediaPad's 56.4 global score. Both tablets in this comparison work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has newer 4.2.2 version while Huawei MediaPad has Android 4.0 version, providing the user a couple additional features. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is a a bit lighter and a lot thinner portable tablet than the Huawei MediaPad.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features an incredibly better looking display than Huawei MediaPad, because it has a lot better 1600 x 2560px resolution, a bigger screen and a way better screen density. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 features a superior CPU than Huawei MediaPad, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory, a higher number of faster cores and a better GPU.
The Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 has a superior memory capacity to store more apps and games than Huawei MediaPad, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with more internal storage. Huawei MediaPad has a superior battery duration than Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9. Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 takes a little bit better photos and videos than Huawei MediaPad, because it has a lot higher 8 megapixels resolution back facing camera.
