Sony Tablet S is a bit better than Huawei MediaPad, getting a general score of 57.5 against 56.4. These devices have the same Android 4.0 OS (operating system). Sony Tablet S's construction is a bit thinner but noticeably heavier than the Huawei MediaPad. Huawei MediaPad features a bit better processing unit than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have a 1 GB RAM and a Dual-Core CPU, the Huawei MediaPad also has a graphics co-processor.
Huawei MediaPad features a much better screen than Sony Tablet S, because although it has a lot smaller display, and they both have an equal resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the Huawei MediaPad also counts with a better count of pixels per screen inch. Sony Tablet S counts with a much better memory capacity to store more games and applications than Huawei MediaPad, and although they both have an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 32 GB, the Sony Tablet S also has 28 GB more internal memory.
The Sony Tablet S's camera is just as good as Huawei MediaPad's camera, both have the same 1280x720 (HD) video definition, the same video frame rate and a camera with a 5 megapixels resolution. Sony Tablet S features greater battery lifetime than Huawei MediaPad, because it has a 22% greater battery capacity.
Although Sony Tablet S is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Huawei MediaPad, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Huawei MediaPad. If you prefer to save some money, you can get Huawei MediaPad, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
