Xperia Tablet S is just a bit better than the Huawei MediaPad, with a overall score of 58.9 against 56.4. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but Xperia Tablet S has a more recent 4.1.1 version while Huawei MediaPad has Android 4.0, counting with a couple additional features. Even being the best in our current comparison, the Xperia Tablet S is a heavier and somewhat thicker tablet device than the Huawei MediaPad.
Sony Xperia Tablet S features just a little better processing power than Huawei MediaPad, and although they both have the same RAM amount, the Sony Xperia Tablet S also has a faster GPU running at 416 MHz and a greater number of faster cores. The Huawei MediaPad counts with a little sharper screen than Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a much smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, the Huawei MediaPad also counts with a greater quantity of pixels per screen inch.
The Xperia Tablet S counts with a much greater storage capacity to install games and applications than Huawei MediaPad, because it has more internal storage capacity and an external memory card slot that admits up to 128 GB. Huawei MediaPad captures much better photos and videos than Sony Xperia Tablet S, although it has a lot worse 5 mega pixels resolution back camera.
Huawei MediaPad has a much longer battery life than Xperia Tablet S.
The Xperia Tablet S costs more money than Huawei MediaPad, but it's still a great deal, because you can get a lot more for that extra money.
