The Dell Venue 8 7840 has a global score of 61, which is much better than Lenovo IdeaTab A3000's general score of 55.2. Both of these tablets include Android operating system, but Dell Venue 8 7840 has a newer 4.4 version while Lenovo IdeaTab A3000 has Android 4.2. Dell Venue 8 7840's construction is lighter and extremely thinner than Lenovo IdeaTab A3000.
The Dell Venue 8 7840 has a much faster processing unit than Lenovo IdeaTab A3000, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Dell Venue 8 7840 also has a 64-bit processor, a better 600 megahertz graphics processor and 1 GB more RAM.
