Comparison review
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a score of 67.9, which is just a bit better than Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus's 63.1 global score. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's body is extremely older, much heavier and a little thicker than Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus. Both tablets in this comparison review come with Android OS, but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has the older 4.4 version and Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus has Android 7.1 Nougat version.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a bit better performance than Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, although it has lesser CPU cores , they both have a 2 GB RAM memory. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much better looking display than Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, because it has a better resolution of 1600 x 2560px, a little larger screen and a just a little greater pixel quantity per inch of display.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a quite bigger memory for apps and games than Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal storage capacity. The Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus shoots a little bit better pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9. Both have the same video frame rate, the same video quality and the same resolution back facing camera.
Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus features a way better battery performance than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
