Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet has a global score of 74.7, which is better than the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus's general score of 63.1. Both tablets in this review have Android operating system, but Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet has older 5.0 version while Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus has Android 7.1 Nougat version.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet features a better display than Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, because it has a little more pixels per screen inch, a larger display and a better resolution of 1600 x 2560. Xperia Z4 Tablet counts with a very superior memory for games and applications than Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that admits up to 128 GB, the Xperia Z4 Tablet also has more internal memory capacity.
Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet features a superior CPU than Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet also has a GPU, a 64-bits processor and a higher amount of RAM. The Xperia Z4 Tablet features improved battery lifetime than Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 4850mAh.
The Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus captures much clearer photos and videos than Xperia Z4 Tablet, although it has a lower 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and a camera in the back with a worse 8 megapixels resolution.
Although Xperia Z4 Tablet is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Xperia Z4 Tablet, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus, resigning a couple features and specifications.
