Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 2 has a general score of 63.4, which is much better than the Lenovo Tab A8's general score of 55.5. Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS, and Lenovo Tab A8 has Android 4.4 OS. Microsoft Surface 2's construction has the same thickness than Lenovo Tab A8, but it's heavier.
The Microsoft Surface 2 counts with a bit better processing power than Lenovo Tab A8, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a higher amount of RAM. The Microsoft Surface 2 features a bit better screen than Lenovo Tab A8, because it has a much bigger screen, a lot better 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution and a little bit higher count of pixels in each inch of screen.
Microsoft Surface 2 has a much greater storage for apps and games than Lenovo Tab A8, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with 48 GB more internal storage capacity. Lenovo Tab A8 and Microsoft Surface 2 feature similar cameras, both have a back facing camera with a 5 mega pixels.
The Lenovo Tab A8 features a way better battery performance than Microsoft Surface 2.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Lenovo Tab A8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Lenovo Tab A8. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Lenovo Tab A8, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your budget.
