Comparison review

Sony Xperia Tablet S has a global score of 58.9, which is slightly better than the Lenovo Tab A8's 55.5 global score. Sony Xperia Tablet S's design is incredibly heavier and noticeably thicker than the Lenovo Tab A8. Both tablets in our current comparison work with Android operating system, but Sony Xperia Tablet S has the previous 4.1.1 version while Lenovo Tab A8 has Android 4.4.

The Lenovo Tab A8 features a little sharper screen than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a quite smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same 1280 x 800px resolution, the Lenovo Tab A8 also counts with a just a bit more pixels per display inch. Xperia Tablet S features a very superior memory capacity for games and applications than Lenovo Tab A8, because it has 64 GB internal storage capacity and an external memory card slot that admits a maximum of 128 GB.

Xperia Tablet S has a little faster CPU than Lenovo Tab A8, and although they both have the same RAM amount and 4 cpu cores, the Xperia Tablet S also has a graphics processing unit. Lenovo Tab A8 has a much better battery life than Sony Xperia Tablet S. The Lenovo Tab A8 features a bit better camera than Sony Xperia Tablet S, although it has a back-facing camera with a lot worse 5 megapixels resolution.

Although Xperia Tablet S is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Lenovo Tab A8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Lenovo Tab A8. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Xperia Tablet S, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the Lenovo Tab A8, letting go some features and specifications.
