Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has a general score of 64.2, which is slightly better than Asus Fonepad 7's 58.9 overall score. Lenovo ThinkPad 8 is a thinner but much heavier tablet than the Asus Fonepad 7. The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 works with Windows 8.1 operating system, while Asus Fonepad 7 counts with Android 5.0 operating system.

Lenovo ThinkPad 8 counts with a little more vivid display than Asus Fonepad 7, because it has a greater pixels number in each inch in the screen, a bigger screen and a way higher 1920 x 1200 resolution. The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features much more storage capacity for games and applications than Asus Fonepad 7, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal memory.

The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 features just a little better hardware performance than Asus Fonepad 7, although it has a 32-bit processing unit instead of 64-bits, they both have 4 CPU cores and 2 GB of RAM memory. The Asus Fonepad 7 and Lenovo ThinkPad 8 feature incredibly similar battery performance. Lenovo ThinkPad 8 has a bit better camera than Asus Fonepad 7, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (Full HD) video quality, the Lenovo ThinkPad 8 also has a way more mega-pixels camera in the back.

Although Lenovo ThinkPad 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Asus Fonepad 7, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Asus Fonepad 7. So if you need that extra features, you can buy the Lenovo ThinkPad 8, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Asus Fonepad 7, giving up some specifications.
