Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 2 has a global score of 63.4, which is a bit better than Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 8-inch (Windows)'s 61.9 global score. Both devices in this review use Windows OS (operating system), but Microsoft Surface 2 has the newer RT 8.1 version while Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 8-inch (Windows) has Windows 8.1, so it gives a couple additional features and improved performance. Although it's the best tablet we are comparing here, the Microsoft Surface 2 body is somewhat thicker and heavier than Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 8-inch (Windows).
The Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 8-inch (Windows) has a bit better performance than Microsoft Surface 2, and although they both have 4 cores and the same RAM memory amount, the Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 8-inch (Windows) also has a 64 bits processing unit. Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 8-inch (Windows) has a much better looking display than Microsoft Surface 2, because although it has a much smaller screen, it also counts with a higher pixels density and a bit higher resolution of 1200 x 1920.
Microsoft Surface 2 has a slightly bigger storage for games and applications than Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 8-inch (Windows), because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory capacity. The Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 8-inch (Windows) counts with a superior battery performance than Microsoft Surface 2.
The Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 8-inch (Windows) shoots a lot better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface 2, because it has a way more mega pixels camera.
The Microsoft Surface 2 costs a bit more money than Lenovo YOGA Tablet 2 8-inch (Windows), but it's still a convenient choice, as you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
