The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is much better than the LG G Pad 10.1, with a 65.7 score against 58.4. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is a way lighter portable tablet than the LG G Pad 10.1, but they are 0.35inches thick. Both of these tablets have Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) has a newer 9.0 Pie version while LG G Pad 10.1 has Android 5.0.
