Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 67.9, which is much better than LG G Pad 8.0's 58.6 global score. These devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has the previous 4.4 version while LG G Pad 8.0 has Android 5.0. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a incredibly thinner but a little heavier tablet device than the LG G Pad 8.0.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a bit more powerful CPU than LG G Pad 8.0, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have the same number of cores, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also counts with more RAM. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a much better screen than LG G Pad 8.0, because it has a lot higher pixels density, a bit bigger screen and a way better resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 shoots much better pictures and videos than LG G Pad 8.0, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has a camera with way more MP. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a lot bigger memory capacity for apps and games than LG G Pad 8.0, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with 64 GB internal memory.
The LG G Pad 8.0 features a superior battery life than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9.
Although Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a better device, it is way more expensive than LG G Pad 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as LG G Pad 8.0. If you want to save some dollars, you can get LG G Pad 8.0, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
