The Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has a score of 60.4, which is a bit better than the LG G Pad 8.0's 58.6 global score. Both tablets in this comparison include Android OS (operating system), but Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016) has 5.1 Lollipop version and LG G Pad 8.0 has Android 5.0 version. Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016)'s construction is thinner and lighter than the LG G Pad 8.0.

LG G Pad 8.0 counts with just a little better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has less RAM memory, and they both have the same number of cores, the LG G Pad 8.0 also counts with an extra graphics processing unit. The LG G Pad 8.0 has a more vivid screen than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a little less pixels per inch in the display, and they both have an equal resolution of 1280 x 800px, the LG G Pad 8.0 also counts with a quite larger display.

The LG G Pad 8.0 features just a bit bigger storage for apps and games than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because although it has a slot for external memory cards that allows a maximum of 64 GB against 200 GB, it also counts with 16 GB internal memory.

LG G Pad 8.0 counts with just a little bit longer battery duration than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a 4200mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.

Although Galaxy Tab A (2016) is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the LG G Pad 8.0, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the LG G Pad 8.0. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Galaxy Tab A (2016), but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and buy the LG G Pad 8.0, resigning some specs and features.
