The LG G Pad 8.3 is a newer tablet, and it is also somewhat thinner and lighter than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1). Both tablets in this comparison review work with Android OS (operating system), but LG G Pad 8.3 has a more recent 4.4 version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) has Android 4.1.
LG G Pad 8.3 counts with a better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a higher number of cores (and also faster) and a larger amount of RAM. The LG G Pad 8.3 has an incredibly better screen than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a lot better display density and a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920.
LG G Pad 8.3 takes way better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1), because it has a much higher video definition and a back-facing camera with lot more mega pixels. Galaxy Tab 2 (10.1) counts with a really longer battery life than LG G Pad 8.3, because it has a 7000mAh battery size instead of 4600mAh.
