LG G Pad X 8.0 has an overall score of 63.5, which is slightly better than LG G Pad II 8.0's 58.3 global score. Both tablets in this review come with Android OS (Operating System), but the LG G Pad X 8.0 has a newer 6.0 Marshmallow version and LG G Pad II 8.0 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version, providing the user some extra features and performance improvements. LG G Pad X 8.0's construction is lighter and thinner than LG G Pad II 8.0, even when they were only released 8 months apart.

LG G Pad X 8.0 has a bit more powerful CPU than LG G Pad II 8.0, because it has a larger amount of RAM memory and a greater number of cores. LG G Pad X 8.0 has a more vivid screen than LG G Pad II 8.0, and although they both have a same size screen, the LG G Pad X 8.0 also has a lot better 1200 x 1920 pixels resolution and a higher pixels density.

The LG G Pad X 8.0's camera is just as good as the LG G Pad II 8.0 one, both have a 5 mega-pixels resolution back-facing camera. The LG G Pad II 8.0 features a much greater storage capacity to install games and applications than LG G Pad X 8.0, and although they both have a SD card slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB, the LG G Pad II 8.0 also has 32 GB internal memory.

LG G Pad X 8.0 counts with a bit superior battery duration than LG G Pad II 8.0, because it has a 4650mAh battery capacity.
