LG G Pad III 8.0 has a score of 64.3, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE's 58.8 overall score. Both of these devices come with Android OS, but the LG G Pad III 8.0 has the newer 7.0 Nougat version and Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has Android 4.0, providing the user some additional features. The LG G Pad III 8.0 body is much lighter and a little thinner than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE.

The LG G Pad III 8.0 features a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a way better number of pixels per screen inch and a lot higher resolution of 1200 x 1920px. The LG G Pad III 8.0 has a way bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, and although they both have the same internal storage capacity, the LG G Pad III 8.0 also has an external memory card slot that supports a maximum of 1,95 TB.

LG G Pad III 8.0 has a bit faster processor than Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has a greater number of 1.5 gigahertz cores. The LG G Pad III 8.0 features just a bit better camera than Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE, because it has a much better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video definition and a back camera with much more megapixels.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has improved battery duration than LG G Pad III 8.0, because it has 6100mAh of battery capacity instead of 4800mAh.
