Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE is a little bit outdated Android portable tablet released many years ago, which counts with a 8.9 inches multi touch display, a great performance 1500 MHz Dual-Core processing unit, and 2 cameras, a 3 megapixels back facing camera and a 2 MP front facing camera. That's all? No, it's just the introduction.

Samsung decided to design the Tab 8.9 LTE using a good performance 1500 megahertz Dual-Core CPU. This tablet counts with aquite big 16 GB internal memory and though it doesn't count with a slot for an external memory card, it is enough to install hundreds of apps and games, but it probably wouldn't be enough if you are fan of the largest games currently available or taking tons of pictures and videos.

Even though the Tab 8.9 LTE just has 9.09 inches long, it is still able to fit a a 8.9 inches screen. This tablet is just 0.34" thick, making its way into the thinnest devices podium. Samsung appears to have forgotten about weight optimization in this 16.05 oz tablet.

Samsung designed this device with an average 8.9" screen, and a resolution of 800 x 1280 , which makes everything look quite colorful and brightful. This screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

This tablet features two cameras, a 3 megapixels back-facing camera and a 2 MP front side camera. It is capable of capturing videos in 1280x720 (HD). To complete the camera, it also includes flash and auto-focus.

This tablet packs an incredible 6100 mAh Li-Ion non-replaceable battery that can keep it running for many hours and even reach the end of the day without having to charge it at all. An issue to evaluate is that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE's battery is not removable so you can't throw it away and buy a new one when it starts to lose capacity, even though with such a great capacity you will probably discard this tablet before that happens.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE has wi-fi connectivity (although it can't be shared with other devices around, as a mobile hotspot), 4G LTE high speed connection and also HSPA+ data connection, a bit slower 4G network and fast 3G connection type, over HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This tablet uses a SIM card for GSM networks.

The Tab 8.9 LTE also features a few cool features such as Bluetooth (3.0, EDR) and GPS Localization, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.

This tablet is probably a good choice it doesn't matter whether you want a social tablet, need a tablet for work or are looking for a gaming tablet device.
