Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE Review

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE is an interesting device launched in 2011, packed with a powerful Dual-Core processor ticking at 1500 MHz, a big size 8.9-inches display, and two cameras, a 3 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 megapixels front camera.

Samsung decided to design the Tab 8.9 LTE using a good performance 1.5 GHz Dual-Core processor. This tablet comes with aquite big 16 GB internal storage memory and though it doesn't include a slot for an external memory card, it is enough to store hundreds of games and apps, although it may not be enough if you are fan of the largest games currently available or taking tons of photos and videos.

This tablet is just 9.09" long and 6.21 inches wide, but it still manages to hold a 8.9 inches screen. This tablet has an amazing design, with a thickness of just 0.34". The Tab 8.9 LTE feels a bit heavy for a tablet of this size, weighting 16.05 oz.

This tablet is equipped with a interesting 800 x 1280 8.9 inches screen, giving this tablet a mid level graphic quality. Its screen uses TFT capacitive technology, and allows multi-touch for gestures like pinch and zoom.

The Tab 8.9 LTE features two cameras, a 3 mega-pixels back side camera and a 2 MP front side camera. It is capable of filming 1280x720 HD videos. The camera also features auto-focus and flash.

This tablet packs a 6100 mAh amazing Li-Ion non-replaceable battery, enough to provide the Tab 8.9 LTE with a great battery life. An issue to consider is that this tablet's battery is non-removable so you can't buy a new battery when it begins to lose its charge, while having 6100 mAh you will probably discard this tablet before that becomes an issue.

This tablet provides Wi-Fi connection (but it can't be shared with other devices acting as a wireless modem or router), LTE (4G) great performance connectivity and also HSPA+ data connection, which is a lower speed 4G technology and 3G fast data connection, supported by HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE works with a SIM card for GSM services.

The Tab 8.9 LTE also comes with a few cool characteristics such as Bluetooth (3.0, EDR) and GPS Navigation, and plenty of sensors like Light Sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope and Compass.
