Both of these tablets work with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) has a more recent 8.1 Oreo version and LG G Pad X 10.1 has Android 5.1 Lollipop version, so it provides you some additional features and better performance. Although the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018) is thicker than LG G Pad X 10.1, it's way lighter and way newer.

LG G Pad X 10.1 counts with a little sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2018), because it has a bigger display, a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen and a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920.
