Both tablets in this review have Android operating system, but the LG G Pad X 8.3 has a more recent 6.0 Marshmallow version and Galaxy Tab A (2016) has Android 5.1 Lollipop.

LG G Pad X 8.3 has a little bit better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a higher number of cores and a larger amount of RAM memory. LG G Pad X 8.3 features a bit sharper display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a just a bit higher screen density, a way better resolution of 1080 x 1920px and a bigger screen.

The LG G Pad X 8.3 captures clearer videos and photos than Samsung Galaxy Tab A (2016), because it has a lot better 1920x1080 video resolution and a lot more mega pixels back facing camera.
