Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a score of 67, which is just a bit better than LG G Pad X 8.3's score of 63.8. Even being the best tablet we are comparing, we must tell that it's also a somewhat thicker and a bit heavier tablet. Both tablets in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has an older 4.4 version while LG G Pad X 8.3 has Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The LG G Pad X 8.3 has a bit more powerful processing unit than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has doesn't have a graphics co-processor, it also counts with a larger number of cores (and also faster) and a larger amount of RAM. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active has a slightly better screen than LG G Pad X 8.3, although it has a much lower pixel density, a little bit smaller display and a way lower resolution of 1280 x 800px.
The LG G Pad X 8.3 has slightly more storage for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the LG G Pad X 8.3 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that allows up to 128 GB. LG G Pad X 8.3 features a bit better battery lifetime than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has 4800mAh of battery capacity.
The LG G Pad X 8.3 takes better videos and photos than Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a lot higher 1920x1080 video resolution and a way higher resolution back-facing camera.
