Both devices in this review work with Android OS (Operating System), but the LG G Pad X II 10.1 has the newer 6.0 Marshmallow version while Google Nexus 7 has Android 5.1 version, so it offers some additional features and performance optimizations. LG G Pad X II 10.1's construction is much newer and a lot thinner than Google Nexus 7's, although it's also a lot heavier.
